The wrist injury that Kobe Bryant suffered in a preseason game against the Clippers is causing him “excruciating” pain, and the Lakers star has received numbing shots before each game since the injury, TMZ.com reports. But the shots had little effect on Sunday, when the Lakers lost to the Nuggets, 99-90, and Bryant scored just 16 points on 6-for-28 shooting.
“If it was anyone else but Kobe, if they did play they’d come up goose eggs on the scoreboard. It’s incredible he’s playing at all,” a source told TMZ.
