In an all around team effort the Lakers clinch the 7th seed in the West, beating the Houston Rockets in overtime 99-95! They will take on the San Antonio Spurs in the Western Conference playoffs. Game 1 in San Antonio is on Sunday.

In tonight’s win, Steve Blake went 6-20 with 24 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Pau Gasol had a triple double (!!) going 7-17 with 17 points, 20 (!!!) rebounds, and 11 assists. Dwight Howard also went 6-15 for 16 points, 18 (!!!) rebounds, 2 assists, 4 blocked shots, and some monster defensive plays late in the game.

Kobe played 41 minutes and 6 seconds, scoring 23 points in the 4th quarter, finishing off with 30 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 assists for a 104-96 win against the New Orleans Hornets.

Kobe is R-I-D-I-C-U-L-O-U-S. With 17 years in the league under his belt, and the most minutes played by any player in the league this season, Kobe scored 41 points on 11-21 shooting, had 12 assists, grabbeD 6 assists, and his only blemish turned the ball over 9 times in 43 minutes played. #countonkobe Lakers win 118-116.
